Experienced Senior Buyer, Procurement Specialist required for leading Public Sector organisation based in West Sussex, South West London, South East.

The successful candidate will be part or fully MCIPS qualified, and will demonstrate significant experience of public sector procurement, including a detailed knowledge of the European Procurement Directives.

Working as part of a small team of procurement specialists reporting into the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for procuring low and high value goods and services on behalf of the client and its subsidiaries in line with the client''s Procurement policy and legal requirements, to ensure best practice and value for money is achieved at the lowest administrative cost and minimising commercial risk.

The key responsibilities include; managing the full life cycle of low value procurements and tender processes, providing commercial advise to the business, managing external suppliers, resolving commercial disputes, monitoring contract performance, consolidating and reducing spend.

THE ROLE WILL BE OFFERED AS AN INITIAL FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 6-12 MONTHS WITH A VIEW TO FINALISING PERMANENCY AFTER THIS TERM SUBJECT TO PERFORMANCE

The successful candidate will be required to undergo Security Clearance to SC level, and will therefore have maintained permanent residency in the UK for at least 5 years.
