A leading retail bank requires a Compliance & Legal Assistant to monitor, analyse and record regulatory developments within the legal department of the bank and communicate these to the team they are working with. If you are successful in your application, you will review financial promotions and other business material for compliance with relevant regulations and compliance standards.

The role will require the successful applicant to give Ad hoc legal advice on wide range of existing and upcoming regulatory matters.

You will carry out reviews of marketing material from compliance purposes on a daily basis ensuring deadlines are met and expectations of business are managed.

You will undertake special investigations and projects as required to support the need for assurances about the quality and extent of regulatory compliance.

You will need to review upcoming regulatory changes and developments on a daily basis to establish what impact they will have on the bank and report the impact of such factors via weekly updates and in some cases detailed analysis of changes to regulations will be required.
It is required that you knowledge share with senior management, industry peers and other key internal and external stakeholders eg speaking at team meetings, attending group meetings and updating contacts in the business.
