JOB SUMMARY:
Work with senior Data Warehouse Architects, System Analysts, System Developers and SQL developers to design and develop database ETL components and processes associated with a new analytical rules based predictive modeling system. The primary efforts associated with this engagement will be to design and develop new automated processes which copy data between DB2 and SQL Server databases. These new ETL processes will require bidirectional transformations between DB2 and SQL Server data sources.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who has substantial experience with design and creation of Informatica ETL processes spanning multiple database vendors. We're looking for a hands on ETL developer who understands SDLC processes and can demonstrate mature ETL developer skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design and develop components and processes to copy information between SQL Server and DB2 databases using Informatica, MS-SQL & DB2-SQL Stored procedures, functions, etc.
Work with Data Architect to design and develop necessary data structures for new analytical system.
GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Significant experience with DB2. Preferable later version 9.x.
Significant Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including SSIS.
Significant experience with Informatica development and administration.
Strong experience with relational and dimensional modeling.
Strong data analysis skills and experience with metadata management.
Experience in creating logical data models and physical data models using various tools, eg, ErWin, Enterprise Architect, Sybase Power Designer, etc.
Knowledge of principles, techniques and best practices of data governance and master data management.
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Customer oriented.
Ability to communicate well with the business and conduct requirement analysis.
Ability to work well in a team environment with a geographically dispersed team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Dedicated to completing assigned tasks and delivering high quality software under deadline.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies and programming languages as required.
Highly motivated to develop mortgage business knowledge.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
At least 2 years of ETL experience using Informatica or comparable ETL technologies.
At least 1 year of experience using MS-SQL (T-SQL) stored procedures, functions, etc.
At least 1 year of experience using DB2-SQL stored procedures, functions, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields.
At least 2 years of Informatica experience.
At least 2 years of DB2 Server experience.
At least 2 years of MS SQL Server experience.
