Description
We have an IMMEDIATE need for a Functional Tester! This is a 3 months contract position (option to extend) located in Dallas, TX. Qualified individual will design, develop, execute and implement customized performance tests for enterprise-level applications with minimal guidance. Execution of tests may occur outside of normal business hours including weekends.
REQUIRED:
US CITIZEN REQUIRED
1. Candidates should have 5+ years experience in performance and functional testing.
2. 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following HP monitoring and diagnostics products: Loadrunner, QuickTest Professional, Quality Center, HP SiteScope and HP Diagnostics.
3. Command of industry standards software test automation methodologies in both functional and performance testing.
4. Ability to run queries in Oracle 10.x SQL/SQL Server including inner/outer joins.
5. Ability to work in a structured development methodology environment.
6. Experience testing any of the following application/server platforms: Apache, Weblogic, Netweaver, MS IIS, SAP, PeopleSoft, and PTC Windchill.
7. Working knowledge of large LAN/WAN networks - both software and hardware (eg firewalls, routers, subnets, TCIP/IP sockets, etc).
8. Prior development (not test scripting) experience in C/C++, Java (Javascript, Java language, and J2EE), VB, or UNIX.
9. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to include written and verbal skills.
DESIRED:
1. Mercury Interactive and active LoadRunner 8.0 CPC Certification.
EDUCATION:
4 year degree
