Hello, our telecommunications client in San Jose is searching for a Senior Unix/Linux administrator for a 6 months + contract.
Here is more about the position:
1. 3-5 years Linux administrations experience in a large enterprise (RedHat, NetBSD, Gentoo) Very technically competent Redhat satellite and puppet experience desirable.
2. Network/Firewall (Juniper and Cisco NX) capable of Cisco ios commands to debug issues in read-only account
3. Excellent Linux/Unix Storage configuration skills and experience: NFS, iSCSI, NIS, AutoMap, ETC
4. 3-5 years Scripting shell, perl. Lamp
5. Strong experience implementation open source software
6. 1-3 years of experience with SCM (CVS, GIT, Subversion, ClearCase
7. 1-3 years of experience supporting commercial software builds gcc, make, etc
8. Nice to have experience with commercial build platforms automation : ElectricCould, Grid, etc
9. EXCELLENT troubleshooting skills
10. Excellent soft skills (verbal & written communication)
11. Windows experience is a plus.
12. Another plus is experience as an Infrastructure Architect.
- The process person will need:
1. Experience from ITIL process implementation
2. Experience from IT Operations Processes (IPCC and CAS).
3. Telecommunications knowledge
