DESCRIPTION
The Network Service/Support consultant will work with peers to develop a service operations management model, drive resolution of operations network issue, creation and analysis of metrics and ensure the development of tools to access the data.

Responsibilities
  • Work with external organizations to define tool requirements and when necessary be able to develop those tools.
  • Drive resolution of operations issues, reduce Mean Time to Ticket Resolution, partner with Advanced Technical Solutions to push vendors for resolution, drive and support team initiatives, provide process support to the Mobility Network Reliability Center.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve faults occurring in network elements.
  • Assess both the nature and severity of customer problems to evaluate the appropriate response/action and engage various support organizations to resolve.
  • Troubleshoot alarms and document alarm fixes on specific elements to provide support for other teams.
  • Work regularly with equipment vendors (Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent, Cisco, etc.) and Advanced Technical Solutions to resolve unusual outages.
  • Lead in developing tools, processes, and/or procedures which improve organizational efficiency.
  • Validate, correct, and create job aids based on the work drivers.
  • Assist in automation efforts and look for opportunities to further automate key processes (foster an automation mindset).
Qualifications
  • Desired/Required Skills: Automation oriented, project management, coding in coldfusion, Java and Oracle SQL. Working level understanding of 2G/3G networks.
  • Knowledge of ALU/Ericsson/Cisco gear.
  • General Troubleshooting, Mobility Networks, IP, Packet Capture, Communication, and Automation skills.
  • Required Certification CCNA
