DESCRIPTIONThe Procurement Coordinator will work under minimal supervision and within established guidelines as a purchasing paraprofessional, efficiently handling projects and administration tasks in support of the procurement department.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain certificate of insurance files.
- Maintain and update compliance due diligence, utilizing Supplier Notify and Interact.
- Maintain all purchase order files.
- Complete tasks necessary for raw material and packaging defect notifications as directed by procurement specialist and manager.
- Complete tasks necessary for new supplier development and approval process according to established quality standards and all site SOP's.
- Complete sourcing activities as assigned by procurement specialist and manager.
- Complete periodic surveys and request for information all procurement groups.
- Assist with invoice problem resolution, accurately documenting reason for discrepancy and pursue appropriate resolution.
- Select or supply non-routine information from external contacts to be used for report records, problem solving and analysis.
- Gather, compile and analyze information for routine purchasing reports ensuring appropriate assigned action.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practice to assigned work.
- Learn and comply with regulatory requirements as they apply to procurement.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by procurement manager.
- Bachelors degree in Business or related degree or equivalent post high school procurement and/or purchasing experience.
- Min. 5-10 in purchasing field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- 5-7 years of computer skills with emphasis on MRP software.
- Proven organization and analytical ability.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office suite.
