Senior Payments Analyst
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Payments Analyst to work for a global, market leading financial services provider for an initial 4 month contract based in Northampton.
The successful Senior Payments Analyst will take prime responsibility in providing high quality analysis to assess the impact of PPI Payments across a large Project within the banking organisation. This is an extremely high profile project, with visibility at Board Level.
The Senior Payments Analyst will be required to;
- Work across multiple businesses and functions at a senior level to produce joined-up and consistent PPI output
- Evaluate financial impact of options and decisions for PPI
- Own rule sets & logic for finance reconciliations
- Work with the Reporting Manager to develop & build on comprehensive reporting packs for distribution to senior business stakeholders, and Consumer Affairs senior leadership team
- Deputise for Finance Director as required
- Understand the end-to-end operational processes and links to strategy & policy and be able to present and communicate this in an meaningful way to senior stakeholders and the Finance team
- Qualified Accountant
- Business analytics subject matter expert
- Experience of finance in large, financial services organisation
- Intellectual competencies - analytical, strategic viewpoint but can also master detail when required, commercial perspective and acumen
- Technical competencies - good basic technical knowledge, and ability to leverage knowledge of specialists, but be willing and able to challenge them credibly on key assumptions
- Personal competencies - high degree of organisation, adaptable and flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, credible to key stakeholders, able to adopt a process and process improvement approach when required
