My client, a leading global provider of critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organisation is seeking an Instructional Designer to work on a 6 month fixed term contract.

You will be developing learning products targeted to young professionals across the globe and will play a key role in the design and development of high-quality learning content in partnership with business leaders and content partners in multiple international markets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*Lead design efforts of online training materials, working in partnership with an internal team and partner organizations to turn designs into reality;
*Design for full range of E-learning capabilities, eg, animations, videos, simulations, exercises, online collaboration using social media tools, etc;
*Analyse content from a global base of subject matter experts to ensure alignment with online training objectives;
*Partner with local commercial colleagues to respond to customer needs and preferences through tailored learning design.

Essential skills:
*Solid experience as an instructional designer, technical writer, or learning consultant capable of turning raw content into engaging and effective materials
*Ability to deal with highly-precise learning content
*Experience designing content for a global audience different from your own, where English is often a second language
*Experience working around, or demonstrable interest in, graphic design, UI design, video production, multimedia production, animation, and social media
*Experience of content creation tools, understanding their limitations but not designing to their specification - ideally Adobe Captivate and the rest of the E-learning suite but broader experience with other tools (eg, Camtasia, Articulate, Lectora) also acceptable

Desirable skills:
*Experience working in a law firm environment, and/or an understanding of legal terminology and concepts.
