Mechanical Design Engineer - Contract - Cambridge
My Mechanical Engineering client has an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in their Engineering team for 3 months.
You will interpret the needs of the customers, both external and internal, and provide solutions within challenging timescales and budgets.
Qualifications and Experience:
Good engineering qualifications; Degree, HNC or approved apprenticeship and a competent user of 3D CAD, together with 2+ years experience developing custom automation or special purpose machinery. A good understanding of materials, motion control, sensors and drives, structures and dynamics and how these can be used in equipment design. A high level of IT literacy and good written and confident communications skills.
Job Role:
Ensure that all design and development work is carried out to a high level of quality, within given budgets and on time.
Operate within a team environment, supporting other members of the team.
Confidently work through development life cycle (design, build, test and deliver) to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by completely owning the problem.
Support Development Team members with the use and administration of SolidWorks
