Description
Mechanical Engineer (M&E) required for a leading public sector company based in London for a 6-month contract with extensions thereafter. The Mechanical Engineer will be required to provide Technical Estates Inspections, advice and support to posts, ensuring the efficient, safe and cost effective management, development and maintenance of overseas estate under the terms of Service Level Agreement within Operations to client Services.
Providing support to the Project Manager relating to supplier orders and invoices, project planning, project financial management, project documentation and reporting. Tasks will include giving professional advice and producing specifications for works, producing tender documents, recommending tenderers and managing works as required.
The candidates must have strong communication skills, both oral and written and be able to communicate at all levels.
Skills/Experience Required:
*Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar,
*Knowledge of relevant current UK technical standards,
*Knowledge of building, civil, mechanical and electrical work,
*Knowledge of current building related health and safety legislation,
*Experience of project management and survey work,
*Good financial management skills,
*Technical specifications experience,
*AutoCAD knowledge,
*Eng Tech/IEng membership of IET/IMechE/CIBSE,
*Electrical testing knowledge and experience.
The Mechanical Engineer will need to undergo security clearance if not already cleared as you will be working on a secure site in London.
