Project/Role
Primary Responsibility
The person in this role would work closely with the Cognos team to ensure that the design of any reports take into consideration the underlying architectural constraints (eg, SSAS Cubes, Table Relations, etc.). The goal of this role is to build performance and quality into the solution at design time in order to avoid performance issues (and refactoring) at QA time.
Secondary Responsibility
Work with the data management team to ensure that database designs take performance into account.
Skills Required
At least 1 year of writing MDX
3+ years of SSAS design and development
At least 4 years of TSQL development.
Must have at least 2 projects worth of experience refactoring SQL code by using execution plans and indexing
Must have a working knowledge of the SQL Storage Engine
