We currently have an immediate opening for a SQL Database Developer for our corporate client located in Alpharetta, GA. This will be a 6 month + contract.

The SQL Database Developer will be responsible for reading and translating business requirements and producing medium to high complexity TSQL code that will meet the customer's requirements. The SQL Database Developer will coordinate activities in the following areas:

  • Work with Business Analyst team to help finalize business requirements
  • Develop medium to highly complex projects that involve data feeds reporting, data translation, or Back End database for web solutions leveraging SQL Server 2000 or 2008
  • Creation of DTS and SSIS Packages
  • Work with project lead to help finalize design for assigned projects
  • Create and review handover of project with project lead
  • Review lessons learned on all customer projects in front of peers
  • Migration of SQL Server 2000 databases to SQL Server 2008


Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Yrs exp = 3-5+ in systems analysis and application programming development, experience with state of the art application development support software packages, some supervisory experience preferred.
  • A minimum 3+ years of Transact SQL experience, DTS, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Reporting Services
  • Experience in the following application languages a PLUS - Managed Code languages C# and .NET Framework, SharePoint Integration
