Controller Contract Short Term

Job Degree in accounting with 5 years min manufacturing controller experience

Extensive Knowledge in SAP is required

Project Duration: Min of 1 Month, Max of 4 Months

Financial functions and assure compliance with established procedures, administering accounting and financial controls, directing the preparation, analysis, and interpretations of financial reports and data required by plant and corporate management.

• Maintain timely and accurate production and inventory reporting systems
• Prepare and/or administer the preparation of month end financial statements and associated journal entries
• Analyze balance sheet accounts as required
• Direct the activities of the accounting and payroll staff
• Develop an annual business plan with assistance from Department Managers and corporate staff
• Provide regular reporting of department and plant performance to the appropriate managers and participate in corrective action plans as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Must have at least five (5) years of manufacturing experience.

Must possess a strong financial background and be able to do month end financial preparation and analysis, yearly budgeting, and Plant accounting functions

Must be able to function as on-site information technology expert for the Plant.

Must have excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Access and J.D. Edwards & SAP software required. Previous experience with SAP highly desirable.

Must have strong communication skills, and possess exceptional organizational and planning skills, be able to handle multiple tasks in a team based environment.

Location: Ruston, Louisiana

Reports to: Plant Manager

Office setting with periodic exposure to a warm plant environment, depending on the area.

Hearing and eye protection as required in the plant.
