Description
The client is a large FTSE 250 brand who are looking for an Interaction Designer for a 6 month contract based in London.
This person will:
- Working with the Product Managers to understand the business objective and high-level requirement to then meet that objective with the optimal user-centred solution
- Ensure relevant inputs are accessed, understood and used at start of project, eg from previous usability testing, analytics, Voice of the Customer, market data etc.
- Work iteratively with the Usability Solutions Analysts (user story writers) to shape a high-level user-centred solution through eg workshops, scenario and user journey mapping, then later into wireframes and prototypes etc
- Work iteratively with the Interaction Designers and Product Managers to identify requirements that need further testing
- Meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the business requirements document. Ensure that other team members understand the implications of functional and usability requirements.
- Create and lead conceptual designs.
- Create wireframes.
- Create interactive prototypes for new or improved website functionality.
- Describe user interface and user interaction specifications, either through annotations to wireframes or in separate documentation
- Localisation of core UI patterns that can translate from aUKmarket to pan-EU, across multiple brands.
- Optimization of core UI patterns, once live on site(s) using Analytics and customer experience management tools such as Foglight/Tealeaf.
- Help drive continuous improvement of UI patterns.
- Present interaction designs/solutions to senior staff within the business.
- Ensure that the user interface designs fulfil the business requirements and that the architecture supports them and is optimal for search engines.
- Support for projects/work streams in the absence of other team members.
- Help obtain business stakeholder buy-in for the proposed designs.
- Help perform/have input to user research and usability testing.
- Ensure all assets are held centrally and made available to other teams in a clearly organised and easily accessible filing system.
- Play an active role in the development of human-centred-design within the organisation.
- Keep up to date on latest user-centred design best-practice
- Have a pan-EU focus, understanding nuances to the journey user experience in other European marketsProactively feedback on the design processes used, to recommend and implement improvements and efficiencies.
- Keep up to date with competitor activity so new ideas can be integrated into projects.
