Sr. Teradata Data Architected
Long term contract position
Atlanta - Midtown
Need very senior Data Architect with following skills:
Lead/Managerial experience - dev teams, offshore/onshore model
Technical experience - Heavy Teradata and SQL.
Strong business savvy and excellent comm skills - will work w/internal business units, etc
Will help oversee retiring numerous datawarehouses, and bringing them into enterprise data warehouse.
Job overivew:
The data architect is responsible for the design of new functionality being added to the teradata data warehouse. This includes data source analysis, data mapping, data modeling, ETL transformation design, and data architecture design in a very large Teradata environment.
The Data Architect must have extensive Teradata data architecture and data modeling experience, must be able to drive the analysis and design of enhancement projects on his/her own without supervision, and be able to quickly assimilate him or herself into a complex Datawarehouse environment.
The data architect must have deep Teradata experience, as well as proficiency with the Erwin data modeling tool.
He/she must be very proficient with the English language and have strong writing and communication skills as he/she must document and present designs in front of an architecture review committee.
Ten plus years of Teradata/Erwin data architecture design experience is desired.
Exposure to Informatica ETL design and architecture is also a plus.
Previous data warehousing experience is also a huge bonus.
