Senior Manager Quality Assurance
Seeking a dynamic and innovative senior manager to lead the Network Management probing and troubleshooting applications quality assurance organization. The QA Senior Manager will utilize their management skills to lead multiple teams validating technology used to monitor and optimize 2G, 3G, 4G, PSTN, VoIP and IMS telecommunications networks.
Responsibilities:
-Leveraging your management and quality assurance experience, work closely with peers in development, project management and product management to validate hardware and software releases. Responsible for identifying quality risks, developing and implementing counter measures, managing scope and resources to deliver high quality releases on time while mitigating risk.
-Leading transformation from largely manual testing to an effective automation framework. This includes tool selection, policy development and deployment, setting realistic automation goals and following through with crisp execution to deliver automated testing that is both effective in terms of quality and cost.
-Development of release level quality plans including resource allocation and assignment, test execution profiles, quality criteria and testing standards as well as contingency plans.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills and a solid technical background. Your background will include successful collaboration in cross-functional teams to deliver products of excellent quality which achieve the business goals. You must be a proactive and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Additional:
-At least ten years of experience in quality assurance/quality engineering, including at least five years in a management role
-Experience managing managers is highly desired
-Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle, including agile methodologies
-Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques
-Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, Oracle databases, web Servers and related technologies
-Familiarity with industry best practices in software development and Quality assurance a must
-Experience with test automation tools such as QFTest or other programmatic Scripting frameworks
-Experience dealing with geographically dispersed teams
-MSCS/MSEE highly desirable, BSCS or BSEE or other related four-year technical degree required
