Senior Business Manager/COO, Banking, London

*Works with GBM HTS stakeholders and Head of GBM GLT to define and articulate goals to achieve delivery of the strategy
*Acts as a sounding board to Head of GBM GLT and the management team
*Ensures that the Head of GBM GLT is alerted to any potential issues/urgent priorities
*Represents the view of the stream head and centre heads within the organisation, this may include having delegated authority to act on/make decisions on behalf of stream head
*Knowledge of current industry trends in business management to improve efficiencies across IT steam - one of the "go-to" people across the organisation
*Facilitates the primary governance forum - GBM GLT Board
*Supports effective communication within GLT and across the global teams as appropriate

This is a critical role supporting the drive across GLT and GBM HTS for global consistency, service excellence and cost effectiveness.

The areas under the jobholder's leadership interact with staff across the whole HTS environment and support functions, and also with Business Managers and PMOs across the group. The job holder is also required to maintain strong links with the HTS financial and HR Community, in order to ensure consistency of approach and a mutually supportive working model.

The jobholder is expected to act at the direction of the Head of GBM GLT. However, it is expected that they are also a strong self starter who sees where the actions on the ground need to be initiated and will drive delivery. It is also important that the job holder represents and can position the GLT's needs in the global teams' plans. This will require engagement and strong relationship management skills
