Our client, a leading Financial Services company, are currently looking for a UK Banking Levy Technical Business Analyst, to be based in The Docklands.
The UK Banking Levy Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for:
-Sourcing books and recording data for all FSA Regulated OTC Derivatives transactions
-Build a tactical SQL Server database from multiple data sources as a base data set for the levy calculation
-Working with Tax and Financial Accounting (FA) to implement business logic to calculate long and short term liabilities used for the Levy
-Documenting all business logic for the Levy to ensure full transparency and detailed breakdown of Levy charge
-Calculating the Levy for 2011 Tax year based on Dec 31st data and determine the recharge back to all business lines
-Producing Business requirements documentation and work with FA IT to transfer the SQL solution to an IT supported solution
-Documentation of all business logic to ensure complete transparency of decision tree inline with all decisions made by Tax and FA Departments
-Creating of repeatable stable solution to enable detailed forensic analysis by business areas on the value of the levy for their business area
As such, the successful UK Banking Levy Technical Business Analyst will have the following skills and experience:
-Candidate should have significant experience of Rapid Application Development techniques and be able to act as both BA and Developer to determine the tactical solution and implement business logic provided by FA and Tax Departments
-Experience of building SQL databases and querying of strategic Oracle databases. Must be able to create database tables, import scripts, views, queries and stored procedures
-Experience of developing and documenting business requirements and hand off to IT teams
-Experience of dealing with detailed accounting rules and an understanding of books and records ledger data
-Team oriented individual who is keen to collaborate with both business and IT departments
-Detailed, logical and methodical approach to problem solving
-Understanding and exposure to OTC Derivatives products
