Description
My Client, a large bank located in the City of London are looking to recruit a team of 4x SAS Data Specialist who will be required to perform the data extraction, manipulation, aggregation and analysis tasks for the 2012 Stress Testing build programme.
Specific details and core responsibilities
Work with the top down portfolio modellers to establish initial most urgent data requirements and potential data sources.
Investigate potential sources of data and evaluate against requirements. If necessary, work with IT and business systems experts to find alternative sources.
Document data requirements and definitions using a standard methodology and liaise with the strategic data analysts to document and prioritise data availability issues.
Obtain and package (ie validate, manipulate, aggregate and document) the data from the identified source systems, ready for modelling within a SAS environment. This will require advanced SAS skills as well as a working knowledge of other data tools (eg Access).
Build relationships with the IT and business system experts and data specialists in the Stress Testing and Modelling programmes to share knowledge and take a coordinated approach to the analysis.
