An automotive client based in Essex is looking for an Interior Electronics Systems Engineer. This will be for an initial 12 month contract.
Description:
Positions exist within Interior Electronics Systems Engineering for Systems Engineers. These engineers will support the design of new audio systems or DI systems for new vehicle programs.
The systems engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the SRD (System Requirements Document) developed in conjunction with the Application Engineer, the customer, software and hardware engineering, plus other areas.
Specific responsibilities include:
Maintenance of systems requirement document (SRD) for a specific system
Ensure all customer and legal requirements are captured.
Ensure common strategies are used to ensure re-usability.
Develop subsystem FMEAS and subsystem design verification plans.
Develop and test specific strategies defined in the SRD.
Skills:
Working knowledge of networks such as CAN, LIN or MOST.
Competent experience design, test, development, and systems engineering
Understanding of requirements capture software packages. eg DOORS, TcS
Programming knowledge.
Second European language, particularly German.
Usage or awareness of simulation packages. eg Matlab, Altia
