DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Technical Lead role Skills and Requirements:
1. Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized institution or equivalent experience
2. Requires more than 10 years in the IT industry including several years specializing in designing and implementing enterprise class architectures.
3. Minimum of 5-7 years as an Architect in the IT industry specializing the in the Enterprise Application and Infrastructure.
4. Infrastructure Certified Architect(from one of the major Platform Vendors, IBM, HP, Oracle)
5. Demonstrated experience analysing, evaluating and implementing large-scale solutions.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging IT issues and trends as they relate to infrastructure architecture.
7. Demonstrated Knowledge of Ministry of Health Services I& IT Cluster as it relates to the Panorama project Technology Architecture and in alignment to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, eHealth Ontario, Canada Health Infoway and Electronic Health Record Blueprints.
8. Extensive experience with the Ontario Panorama stack (comprising but not limited to Oracle Solaris 10, IBM WebSphere Application Server 7.x, IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus 6x/7x, Business Objects XI 3.1, Xythos Document Management 7.xx, Open DS 2.x, Oracle RAC 11gR1) and its Webservice and HL7 Messaging integration points.
9. Experience developing and implementing architectures and solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Panorama Solution is a SOA based implementation which is leveraging the IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus for Messaging (HL7) and web services transformation and orchestration.
10. Service Oriented Architecture-SOA certified (any SOA certification from vendors like IBM, Oracle, Open Source etc.)
11. Demonstrated experience defining and leading infrastructure architecture, with well-balanced business, information, security, application and technical infrastructure architecture.
12. Extensive experience with messaging, monitoring, virtualization (Solaris containers-zones; Logical Domains-LDOM's), storage, backup, disaster recovery, high availability, networks, and infrastructure security.
13. Expertise and experience architecting integrated solution architectures from Business, Conceptual, Logical and Physical levels. Experience in areas of infrastructure and business system analysis; risk analysis and mitigation; conceptual, logical and physical architecture; Experience architecting solutions on multi-platforms such as Solaris, Linux and Wintel.
14. Oracle Solaris Certified.
15. Experience in networking, system routing and data center infrastructure.
16. Experience as a facilitator, negotiator and communicator-both orally and written and be able to produce clear and concise documentation including: presentation material, design/architecture documents and training material.
17. Strong leadership and presentation skills.
18. Demonstrated experience working with a variety of stakeholders including internal and external.
19. Extensive experience with Ontario Public Service Enterprise Architecture Gating and Framework (such as Zachman, TOGAF, Cobit), IT Security standards and principles applicable to the healthcare sector.
20. Enterprise Architecture Framework certified(TOGAF 8/9, Cobit, etc)
21. Knowledgeable in Service Management, Control frameworks(such as ITIL, PMBOK)
22. Demonstrated experience in Vendor and Client Management
23. Strong problem solving capabilities including the ability to defend recommendations and decisions developed through analysis of business needs, risks and technical robustness/purity
24. PMP certified.
