Description
My client is a government defence body that require a Commercial Officer to provide support in placing requirements and contracts within the department. Prior knowledge of FATS and Defence based contracting skills desirable. The Commercial Officer will also provide procurement and commercial service and ensure that contracts and suppliers meet the departments needs for operational and contractual delivery. The Commercial Officer will also support the management of procurements through the development and implementation of effective contracts. It is very much a bonus to have current SC/DV clearance due to the time constraints on this role
Skills Required
- Experienced in tendering and placing contracts in accordance with Public Procurement regulations
- Must have FATS experience
- Knowledge of EU Directives/Procurement law
- Ideally SC Cleared
- Ideally experienced in using Oracle Peoplesoft
- Good interpersonal skills
