My London based client is looking to take on a Graduate Statistician/Junior Statistician/Graduate HR Statistician/Junior HR Statistician.
Primary Purpose
The Graduate Statistician/Junior Statistician/Graduate HR Statistician/Junior HR Statistician post will provide statistical analysis to the Diversity team in Human Resources (HR). The HR transition framework provides the structure for all HR matters over the forthcoming period as the Department transitions towards its future structures. It is fundamental that my client continues to meet its obligations on Equality and Diversity as an employer. This post will create, maintain and enhance the evidence base to meet this requirement as well as providing a statistical capability for other diversity issues. This is a high profile and influential statistical post working in HR.

Assignment Job Purpose/Key Accountabilities
In addition to supporting the HR diversity team in this area, the post holder will:
- Design, implement and deliver the analytical requirements for the Equality Analysis for the HR transition framework, setting up new data sources where appropriate;
- Provide analysis to meet the scope of the requirements of the Public Sector Equality duty including the need to produce an Official Statistics publication;
- Setting out and deliver the programme for regular statistical analysis and dissemination of diversity monitoring analysis;
- Devise and implement a programme of statistical work on the wider diversity agenda and its interaction with employee engagement.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
At least a 2:1 Degree in Statistics or other numerate subjects. Content of degree must include statistical theory and methods;
Excellent customer management skills and skilled in managing relationships;
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
Ability to disseminate clearly both orally and written;
Presentation of analysis and interpretation to meet customer requirements in writing and meetings;
Ability to explain complex concepts simply to a lay audience;
Experience of working successfully in a team
Ability to carry out statistical analysis on datasets
Desirable:
Masters level qualification in Statistics or other numerate subject ;
Familiarity with using and interpreting administrative data;
Experience of using project management principles to manage and deliver pieces of work to time, budget and requirement;
Understanding of data confidentiality and protection issues, such as Data Protection Act;
Awareness of the Official Statistics Code of Practice.
Ability to use Excel and other MS Office products
Basic knowledge of Equality and Diversity issues as they apply to employers;
Understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty
