The successful candidate will be required to carry out systems engineering activities associated with delivery of the structural elements of Wing Dispense Equipment (WDE) and Hose Drum Unit (HDU) on various aircraft platforms.
Major elements of responsibility will include the pylon, which attaches the pod to the aircraft wing, and the rear fairing, a structure which houses a number of functional elements within an aerodynamically optimised shroud. The HDU includes a pressure containment which forms part of the aircraft pressurised fuselage and an interface frame for installation and attachment to the aircraft.

As a Systems Engineer your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and management of structure development activities
* Preparation of technical estimates for non-recurring costs and manpower requirements
* Requirements capture, validation and definition of verification strategy
* Interface definition and control
* Integration of the refuelling system structure with the aircraft
* Preparation of Specifications and other project documentation
* Risk management
* Technical management of suppliers
* Liaison with customers, internal and external
* Liaison with specialists such as design, performance and ILS engineers
* Co-ordination of verification activities
* Collation of data in support of system qualification and certification
* Technical decision making
* Technical reporting
* Team leadership

As a Systems Engineer your experience & qualifications will ideally include
* Aircraft structures experience
* Mechanical Design & Analysis understanding
* Systems engineering
* Structural & Aerodynamics understanding
* Understanding of vibration test procedures and results would be an advantage
* Relevant degree or equivalent
