- Major management firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage and backup consultant.
- Ensure development and execution of standard operational processes and automation, including standard archive/purging, software/hardware roadmaps, provisioning, service request, project delivery, and solution & architecture design.
- Drive initiatives to reduce manual effort through automation and process improvement.
- Develop standard services through service definitions and associated SLA's. Responsible for enforcing enterprise standards and reference architecture.
- Design and update the overall information security framework with underlying security policies.
- Develop key reference architecture, virtualization, archive, data retention and standard SAN/NAS solutions.
- Develop and executes a hardware refresh strategy. Ensures storage hardware rationalization through ongoing capacity management and planning.
- Develop product roadmaps and execute upgrade strategies.
- Responsible for managing key vendors and strategic partners.
- Keeps up to date with industry developments in order to provide accurate advice on the area of vulnerability and patch management.
Requirement:
- CommVault Simpana 9.0
- Must have 9.0 CommVault disk to disk tape backup and copy mechanism.
- LTO3 and 4 libraries from Dell, Sun/STk and spectralogic.
