Description
Position: Software Installation/Automation Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6-months w/potential for extension
Job Description:
*Respond to Service request as per the defined support process.
*Understand how the service delivery platform works from a technical perspective in order to rapidly identify issue root causes and resolve them.
*Automate existing platform deployment scripts and turn them into one-click simple installation.
*Provide engineering support and operation for customers and partners.
*Work with lab support engineer to plan and maintain various integrations and demo environments.
*Work with other solution and vertical engineering for integration projects.
Skill Set required:
*Strong Scripting language such as Python or Perl is required.
*experience with Unix/Linux commands and environments.
*Experience with InstallAnywhere and InstallShield.
*Strong understanding of Configuration management systems such as Subversion.
*Understanding of J2EE (Java/XML) is desired.
Experience with Maven/SVN
