seniorNET Application DeveloperOur client is seeking a Senior .NET Application Developer for a short term, high profile project which could lead into a longer term project, developing peripheral app's that integrate with the preceding application. This project involves developing an application utilizing XP-based Windows tablets to gather marketing research data which will interface with client's Legacy applications, which consist of VB6/Access 7 and C#/SQL Server Express applications.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
* Design and development of a new Winforms application.
* Integrate new application with Legacy VB6/Access 7 and C#/SQL Server Express applications..
* Initial Marketing Survey application must be implemented by (no date extensions).
* Effectively partner with internal customers on various initiatives.
* Successful candidate must be available to travel out of state for a few days of orientation.
Required Technical Skills:
* 5+ years of .NET development experience using C# and SQL Server
* 3+ years with VB6 and MS Access (v).
* Extensive hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Winforms.
* Ability to create and maintain database objects/stored procedures for the applications using SQL Server .
* Solid work experience using Visual Studio 2010.
* Knowledge of various methods and tools for Information analysis, project management, functional design, technical design, programming.
* Familiarity with reporting tools including Crystal Reports and SQL.
* Understanding of hardware structures and network components.
Required Soft Skills:
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to interact and influence across all levels of the organization.
* The ability to commit to a hard end-date and do the work necessary to meet that deadline.
Education:
Bachelors degree in IT, business systems or other related discipline, or appropriate combination of education and experience.
