About the Company/Position:
This Australian Icon requires a Senior Storage Professional to join there Storage team. In this role you will provide an entry point for all storage deployment for projects across multiple platforms across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and monitoring the storage management framework for storage management
- Responsible for implementing all changes to the storage infrastructure
- Strategic Planning of storage infrastructure
- Logical/physical designs of SAN/NAS/DAS infrastructure.
- Perform storage provisioning using:
- LUN masking
- Storage consistency groups
- Storage virtualization
- Storage resource management
- Provide On Call support (rotating roster)
- Expertise in the administration of EMC hardware (Symmetrix, VMAX, Clariion & VNX)
- Expertise in the use of SAN management tools such as ECC, StorageScope, Brocade Fabric Manager, EMC Performance Manager, NaviSphere, UniSphere, SCM, CISCO Fabric Manager
- A minimum of 3-5 years prior experience within the field of storage administration in a large enterprise
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Foundation knowledge of all storage products, technology and enterprise storage networking (SAN, NAS, DAS)
- Exposure to EMC Networker, Tivoli Storage Manager and HP Data Protector or other backup and recovery products is highly desirable
- Ability to manage a wide variety of storage environments comprised of heterogeneous platforms( Mainframe, Unix, Linux & Wintel)
- Understand storage strategies and functional usage for various applications/platforms
- Experience with UNIX, and Windows Servers from a Systems Administration perspective is desirable
