A major Global Insurer is looking for an Insurance Project Manager for a their expanding Transformation Business area. The Insurance Project Manager will have the day to day responsibility and authority of running the project on behalf of the project board with the principal responsibility to define deliverables to meet the defined benefits and then ensure that the project produces the required deliverables, to the agreed standard of quality and within the specified constraints of cost and time. This is a "hands-on" delivery Project Manager role and the successful candidate must have proven Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Influencing skills, vendor management, cross functional work experience and experience in managing in Matrix organisations.

Key Responsibilities

*Project initiation and definition of required deliverables.
*Agree the technical and quality strategy with the project board.
*Plan the project, agree the plan with project board, and prepare detailed plans for each stage.
*Manage the project on a day-to-day basis.
*Define the team structure and the team managers' objectives and responsibilities.
*Identify and acquire required resources.
*Build and motivate the team.
*Execute the plan, monitoring progress and taking the necessary corrective actions.
*Report progress at agreed intervals to the project board, advising the board immediately if plan tolerance levels are exceeded and if appropriate, recommending the premature termination of the project.
*Identify and manage the risks.
*Manage the expectations of the business areas.
*To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise.

Required Experience

*Cross-Functional Insurance experience is desired ( Business/technology etc)
*Proven Insurance Project Management,
*Excellent Stakeholder Management and Engagement.
*Proven vendor management,
*Insurance Transformation experience would be advantageous.
