A well respected organisation within the Financial Services Industry is rapidly growing their IT Department and require an excellent Contract Oracle Developer with Production Support experience to join ASAP for a contract opportunity. Our Client is undergoing a Massive Systems/Product enhancement and is looking for an experienced candidate who is very pro active with coding.
About The Role
The ideal candidates will be responsible in delivering high standard code based on functional specification/business requirement document/technical design. You will also be responsible for documenting the change by Expressing the change clearly in documents.
You will be required to support the change throughout the Product Development life cycle to ensure minimum disturbance within the business while monitoring the application and the performance to ensure problems are detected before they become issues and involve the appropriate teams to determine a resolution to the application.
Skills
- 4 - 6 years in Database Development and design
- Oracle 9i database or higher experience (3 - 4 years)
- PL/SQL experience (>3 years),with proficiency in PL/SQL programming,
- Database related experience like database triggers, schema creation, data definition and optimisation.
- Knowledge around toad application, proficiency in UNIX Scripting and ETL experience required.
- SQL Tuning/Performance Tuning Skills around larger DB applications required.
- Experience in implementing Oracle 9i/10g/11g database partitioning and archiving strategy
