We are a recruitment company and we are currently looking for an experienced Accountant.
The main purpose of the role:-
To provide financial and accounting support to managers across the Council, to assist in maintaining the integrity of financial systems and procedures, deputising for more senior colleagues as appropriate.
This is a generic job description covering a number of areas within finance, which will include management accounts, corporate accounting, financial systems, reconciliations and taxation. Postholders will deliver a range of financial services as outlined below covering capital, revenue and systems. The skills level, experience and qualification levels required are as per the skills / grade matrix, and include:

§Closure of Accounts
§Financial Appraisals
§Financial Advice and support
§Financial improvement and planning
§Financial and Statistical Returns
§Financial Systems and Procedures
§Taxation and Risk Management
Management Accountant required to provide Budget Monitoring / budget Setting support within the Management Accounts Team Meeting frequently with service Managers and addressing their budgets etc for the service they manage. Forecasting Must have excellent personnel skills and good communication skills in order to development a good working relationship with the service managers Work on Agresso... therefore someone who has work on the Agresso system before would be an advantage but not essential.
