Description
We have an IMMEDIATE need for a Software Configuration Management consultant! This is a contract position located in Omaha, NE for an enterprise level organization. Qualified individual will perform Software Configuration Management (SW CM) tasks to include use of Software Configuration Management tools for configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, configuration verification and audits, product release and delivery, and preparing and executing software compiles builds and deployments. Position requires great attention to detail with respect to managing software development environments and program libraries, understanding of software processes and strong presentation skills.
DUTIES:
1. Identify problems and provide solutions to a variety of Configuration Management technical problems.
2. Everyday responsibilities range from establishing and maintaining the program's Configuration Management systems to include the program's document and software libraries, developing scripts to supporting software build cycles, providing Configuration Management support to development team and Program Management.
3. Developing, improving and training the program Configuration Management processes and interfacing with other engineering disciplines to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A SECURITY CLEARANCE
1. 4+ years experience coding using such languages as: Perl, Shell scripting, C++ or Java
2. Minimum 4 years experience with Software Configuration Management with the ability to perform build management (compiling, linking), release management (capturing and installing software baselines).
3. 4+ years experience administering Software Configuration Management tools such as Rational Clearcase and ClearQuest, eGit, and Subversion.
4. Experience with Solaris OS, eGit, Subversion, and/or ClearCase administration for a Windows or UNIX platform, process development and improvement.
5. Awareness of ISO/AS9100 or CMMI CM standards.
6. Requires communicating Configuration Management status to Configuration Management and Program Management.
7. Experience working independently while able to support team goals and communicate program activities.
8. Experience working in a Software or Hardware development team environment, interfacing with Software, Hardware, Systems or Test Engineers.
9. Experience establishing, developing and implementing Configuration Management processes and training, such as configuration control, identification, data library/repository, configuration audits and product release and delivery and including software installations.
10. 4+ years experience using Microsoft word and Excel.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or a related science or engineering field.
