6 month contract for Medical/Patient Safety Officer/Director - 63/hrSafety Officer
Medical Screening will be needed
Hours of the position: generally 8 to 5 ( M-F)
Experience Requirements: at least 5 to 7 years doing patient safety work at a Director level
Work Environment: Entire Medical Facility (Hosp/HP/Med Group)
Top Skills needed: independence; fast learner; organized; professional; broad experience
Top 3 personality characteristics: Must be a High Level person
Educational Requirements: Masters level
Will they be around patients? possibly ( Medical Screening Needed)
Act as liason between Staff, Physicians, and Patients to address safety issues and concerns. Responsible for setting up Just Culture Committee Meetings, including planning and preparing agendas in coordinator with Labor and Mgmt co chairs.
Track action items and assist in seeing that they are completed in timely manner.
Make rounds and be available for communications, and to act as resource.
Provide guidance and assist in goal setting.
Support and reinforce implementation in Medical Center
Serve as a model and champion for all staff and physicians speaking up about Patient Safety concerns.
Choose educational model and participate in staff and physician training.
