SharePoint Developer
A national construction and infrastructure organisation has recently released an opportunity for a SharePoint Developer to assist in the development support and maintenance of their SharePoint application systems.

I am looking for someone who has a solid background in supporting retail software systems and applications.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following;

  • Development and implementation of SharePoint strategy.
  • Providing 2nd level support where 1st line support have escalated.
  • Participation of business and functional requirements.
  • Continuous improvement, and adherence to best practise guidelines.
  • Designing and developing enhancements to SharePoint program and then testing to ensure tasks have been completed correctly.
  • Managing stakeholder and users expectations by consistently keeping in touch and communicating changes made.
  • Root cause analysis.

Skills required to carry out this role effectively;

  • 3 years solid experience working within IT with Microsoft platforms.
  • 2 years experience with SharePoint, ideally with MOSS 2007 or SP2010 in a development role.
  • You will be comfortable working with Microsoft .NET 2.0 - 4.0, C# and ASP, as well as proficiency with SQL Server 2005/8.
  • You will have had experience with technical platform analysis and producing functional and non-functional designs.
  • Microsoft certifications in one or more relevant areas.
  • Knowledge WPF and Silverlight would be highly advantageous.
