Description
This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 30-60+ day contract opening for a Security Field Engineer in Dallas, TX. The Security Field Engineer is responsible for configuring Cisco Security devices to fulfil approved requests for connectivity & access. Will receive requests for changes to existing Cisco security devices and the addition of new Cisco security devices and be responsible for verifying the impact of the requested changes within the context of the existing security configuration and network, and implementing and testing those changes. Will play a key role in the daily processing of Work Orders, Change Requests, and Incident Response for operational systems.
This position requires:
3 years experience with IT security, networking, & enterprise technologies. Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting with Cisco security devices. 2-3 years experience in a customer facing technical support role. Experience/Familiarity working in an ITIL-modeled IT environment and adherence to formal change control procedures & processes. Cisco CCNA certification is preferred.
