Description
A fast growing claim management company has an immediate opening for a SQL Server Database Developer/Programmer. The successful candidate should have proven experience in developing applications and integrations using the Microsoft SQL Server platform. This will include the experiences in reporting, data importing and exporting, data warehousing and Back End supporting for .NET applications.
This technical role is part of information system team that interfaces with other team members and business partners to provide excellent service to company's clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support database service for accounting system.
Design logical and physical database structures and objects for customization and enhancements of Sage MAS 500.
Maintain and enhance the existing finance-related reports and system integrations.
Perform quality checks on reports and exports to ensure exceptional quality.
Keep track of requested changes to the accounting system.
Assist .NET application developers with database development projects.
Responsible for reviewing development code and ensuring established coding standards are applied consistently.
Provide business users the data required for metrics and analysis.
Provide accurate estimates for all assigned project tasks.
Perform testing and troubleshooting.
Document database architecture, codes and user instructions.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Strong Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Server Side development including SSIS and SSRS.
Excellent coding skills with Transact SQL stored procedures and triggers.
Good experience in SQL Server database administration.
Experience in Back End support for accounting system.
Excellent business requirements analysis ability.
Good knowledge with RDBMS and T-SQL.
Accurately estimating task effort to support project scheduling.
Strong customer service and people skills to collaborate within a cross-functional team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in computer science or MIS.
5 years or more of experience in RDBMS development and administration.
Knowledge of accounting system.
Knowledge of project accounting.

Experience and knowledge in insurance and claim management industry.
Familiar with Sage ERP MAS 500 applications.
Windows Forms programming with VB, VB.NET and C#.
SharePoint integration with other applications.
Additional Requirements:
You must provide documentation showing that you are legally authorized to work in the United States.
You will need to complete a technical screening to demonstrate competency in database development and administration.
You will need to clear a criminal background check and drug test.
