Description
The Communications Officer needs to be experienced in media communications, either in a press office of a corporate body, in an agency or as a journalist. they will need to be a good, quick writer, writing for the media, the web, for stakeholders and other collatoral. They will need to be confident in dealing with people at a senior level. They will be confident and have skills in media liaison as well as proactive PR as key to the role is being able to play a key part in a very busy press office function. Experienced in PR in a large organisation or agency. Experience in a press office function. Skilled and competent writer. Able to work with people at all levels across the organisation. Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.

GRADUATE Or equivalent Must have Press release, and Media Queries experience
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A minimum of three years experience in communications or public relations
- A demonstrable understanding and experience of external and internal communications techniques, practices and current thinking
- Experience of developing and delivering effective communications programmes in large, complex organisations
- Experience of finding positive solutions to complex communications challenges and to think laterally
- Experience of working with senior managers
- Experience of managing relationships with key media personnel, and good understanding of the local media environment
- Track record in delivering complex projects and achieving results.
