DESCRIPTION:
Our client requires the services of a SharePoint Developer, to provide deliverables including, but not limited to, the following:
Assignment Duties:
- Provide SharePoint Support for different groups within our client
- Develop Document Management solution based on our client needs
- Most effectively design SharePoint solutions for Intranet, Document Management, Wiki and Web Forms
- Work with business analysts and users on requirements engineering and solution exploration
- Work with lead SharePoint developer, architects, business analyst and other team members on optimal solutions, by presenting SharePoint best practices and tradeoffs for approaches
- Work with business analysts on taking existing Intranet sites and mapping them onto a small set of templates
- Develop InfoPath Web Forms, Workflow, Alerts and Data Integration as per requirements and design
- Develop Web Parts, Master Pages, Intranet and Wiki Templates, Site Structures and Site Content as per requirements and design
- Assist Lead SharePoint Developer to champion the most effective development' process to arrive at desired successful end-state while maintaining conformance to organizational process requirements and artifact production
- Offer guidance related to best practices for deployment, rollout, change management, content approval, and other development and content management life cycle events.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 4+ years of Microsoft SharePoint experience
- Deep understanding of SharePoint and its capabilities including best practices for developing Document Management, Sites, Lists, Libraries, Pages, Email, Workflow, InfoPath and Web Parts.
- Strong understanding and hands on experience with WRSP and other SharePoint data consumption approaches
- Intermediate understanding of information architecture principles (taxonomies and folksonomies) as well as their effective application in SharePoint
- Experience building sophisticated SharePoint Sites and Document Management specific sites
- Experience with best practices utilization of Office , MS Exchange and SharePoint
- Strong understanding and experience, including the ability to articulate the tradeoffs for design decisions for SharePoint Sites, Wiki, Document Management & Libraries and Web Forms.
- Experience using Wikis as the core documentation approach in a project
- Intermediate level understanding of SharePoint Email and Workflow capabilities
- Intermediate level on building Document Management sites
- Played a key role with hands on development on a minimum of five SharePoint implementations; at least one must be on SharePoint 2010 (an asset)
