Description
Responsibilities for the Financial Controller will be. You will be heading up the planning team (responsible for quarterly forecasts, budgets etc), reporting team (responsible for the provision of our monthly management accounts and communication to divisional finance teams re our results), transfer charging team (team responsible for recharging Group IT costs to the divisions) and also heading up the fixed assets team (responsible for assets on the Group IT balance sheet - hardware assets and software assets as a result of capitalising our software development). Day to day therefore would involve managing the team of 19 in total and stakeholder management - The role will be within the Group IT Finance. Ideally they would have experience in a large organisation we are a complex business and as a result of our size. Therefore think it's probably preferable to have experience in a FTSE 100.
Deliver Group IT financial budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting and transfer charging. Hold executives to account for their numbers. Define and maintain accounting policy in so far as it applies to Group IT Finance
Act as deputy to the Finance director of Group IT in appropriate meetings.
