STORAGE ENGINEER

* Must have IBM SVC Experience

* Strong expertise in Data Center virtualization, storage, security, server load balancing, etc.

* Strong Network and storage architecture skills

*Solid understanding of Data Center infrastructure applications (databases, replication/disaster recovery, and application integration with respect to infrastructure).

* SAN (Storage Area Network) Administrator/Infrastructure Planning Analyst 3 position responsibilities include, but not limited to; Project storage requirements, planning, design and deployments of storage needs. On call rotating duties are required as well as troubleshooting of outages. Deployment of SAN storage is defined as storage allocation, port connectivity and system performance. Some on site duties for troubleshooting connectivity and disk failures. Storage management tool use include - EFCM, Hi-Command, HDLM, HSSM and some ECC

* Minimum 8 years experience in SAN Fabric design using McData & Brocade Switches & Ficon/Escon directors

* Minimum 8 years IT experience in large computing environments - Disc sub-system knowledge and data protection experience; experience with HDS, HP, IBM and EMC storage disk systems, includes storage allocation, reclamation and replication

* Minimum 8 years of experience in the storage environment is required with demonstrated experience of having led technical design and implementation of storage solutions

* 3 years experience on designing storage technology, architecture and provisioning solution on HDS, EMC and HP storage platforms

* Minimum 2 years experience designing and supporting clustering solutions with a broad spectrum of storage technologies, Windows (Microsoft) and Unix (IBM HACMP)

* Minimum 2 years experience utilizing storage management tools; strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel storage technologies from major storage vendor like IBM, EMC and HDS

* Moderate project management experience a plus

* Moderate knowledge of change management systems

* Proven analytical, problem-solving abilities, with the ability to multitask and do in-depth troubleshooting required. Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

* Excellent customer service and communication skills and attention to detail is paramount as the position will be working heavily with vendors and other support teams. Skilled in working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment

* Required to work and manage own hours within a 24x7 production environment. This will require after hours work, but not overtime.

* Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language appropriate to both technical and non-technical audiences.

A Bachelors Degree is preferred for this position, however candidates with commensurate experience will be considered.
