Job Description:
The of Business Configuration Lead is responsible for defining objectives, prioritizing responsibilities, and overseeing operations in support of business goals related to provider t, benefits, general, authorizations and finance configuration. The Lead must demonstrate strong knowledge of the health care business with technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Business Configuration Lead must have in depth knowledge of and demonstrated experience in claims adjudication, benefits, code sets, and payment methodologies, and be able to work on cross-functional teams to implement large-scale projects.
Essential Functions
Lead a cross-functional team of configuration analysts tasked with configuring benefits, provider contracts and pricing, authorizations, finance and general configuration
Drive team results based upon established departmental quality and production performance metrics
Work with the QA/Test Lead in support of testing and quality assurance process for system set up, contract compliance, and configuration to ensure accurate claims payment
Work with configuration project managers to align priorities, manage resources and meet defined timelines for delivery
Participate on project teams as required to implement large-scale claims system functionality
Promote operational excellence though development, implementation and management of monitoring tools, controls, policy and procedures
Facilitates planning with business configuration stakeholders
Acts as primary project contact for operational managers
Basic Qualifications
BA or BS in health information technology or related degree or 3 to 5 years equivalent experience
Able to build strong working relationships with cross functional team and among members of the organization at different levels
5 to 7 years working with operational and technical aspects of managed care required; healthcare experience preferred, particularly in the areas of contract administration and claims processing
Supervisory experience required
Experience with analysis of operational issues and advanced problem solving skills required
20% travel required
