Senior Systems Engineer
Experis IT (A ManpowerGroup Company) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a contract to hire position in Orange County, CA.
Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Systems Engineer to join our team of highly-motivated technology specialists. If you like working in Microsoft environments, with the latest technology and enjoy a challenge this may be the place for you.
Senior Systems Engineer with a proven track record of successful project efforts. Responsibilities include working collaboratively in the design, implementation and maintenance of mission-critical applications/systems within the Microsoft platform.
This person must also possess strong consulting skills for technical and business partners alike. This position requires maturity and expertise in many aspects including team coordination and participation, the ability to work with and prioritize competing demands, and the ability to interface with internal clients (sales, product, and field staff) as well as external clients. At times the person in this position may be requested to serve as a consulting resource to support client-hosted installations and implementation. Most of this support is local or virtual; so travel expectations are minimal. This candidate needs to be an excellent team player with the ability and drive to follow self-directed initiatives and have a passion and vision to help advance our IT and hosting initiatives.
The engineer should be able to design and architect solutions in all the following technologies. The engineer must also be able to install, perform migrations, troubleshoot and perform disaster recovery on all the technologies mentioned.
Required Experience:
Design and architecture, install, migrate to and from, troubleshoot and perform disaster recovery:
Microsoft
o Windows Active Directory environments including multi-site and multi-domain environments
o SBS
o Exchange - including multiple Servers with various roles
o SQL
o Terminal Services
o Setup, troubleshoot and deploy a basic terminal server (Windows 2003,2008)
o Understand the following as it applies to terminal servers:
o Application Deployment
o Profile Management
o Group Policy application
o Licensing
o Windows Client Editions (XP,VISTA, 7)
o The following technologies are not required but useful:
o SharePoint Server
o Office Communication Server
o HyperV
Backup
o BackupExec 12 and above
o Solid knowledge of tape drives, tape autoloaders, and backup to disk technologies
Citrix
o Architect, deploy, troubleshoot and recover Citrix XenApp environments.
o Deploy multiple XenApp Servers and configure access methods that include a Web interface and Citrix Secure Gateway
VMware
o Setup, troubleshoot and deploy ESX or ESXi Servers
o Setup and configure a vCenter server to manage multiple ESX/ESXi Servers
o Understand how to integrate an iSCSI and/or Fiber SAN
SAN
o Setup, troubleshoot and deploy all or some of the following:
o Dell MD Series SAN
o Dell Equalogic SAN
o HP PS Series SAN
Networking
o Setup and configuration of the following:
o SonicWall Firewalls (Pro, TZ and NSA Series V Enhanced OS preferred)
o Cisco ASA Firewalls
o Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches (Cisco, HP, 3Com)
Functional Responsibilities:
o Working cross-functionally with various internal/external customers to define deliverables
o Developing detailed functional specifications, design documents, and test plans
o Possess the ability to mentor and train junior engineers
o Strong documentation skills
o Flexibility to support escalation channels and support on-call duty requirements.

Education and Training:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline
