Pensions Administrator is required to provide the operational and administrative aspects of pension provision for our client based in London initially.

Key Accountabilities
1. Resolve The Business data and administrative queries for the external administrator.
2. Respond to member and internal support team queries in relation to company pension arrangements.
3. Support the organisation and delivery of pre-retirement programmes.
4. Calculate contributions and benefits as required for scheme members.
5. Assist in the administering of Railways pension scheme and The Business's defined contribution scheme pensions arrangements.
6. Provide support on HR initiatives as directed.

The Pensions Administrator (PA) post deals with calls to our dedicated pensions helpline, and emails to our dedicated email inbox which are available to all of our 35,000 employees.
In addition to responding to emails and phone calls from members, we also deal with colleagues in HR, payroll and externally the pension administration company, on a daily basis.
The PA role deals with processing data queries, calculating and checking AVCs and normal contributions for our three pension schemes. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required.
It is essential that the PA has a good understanding of pension's legislation and how schemes are administered to be able to clearly and effectively communicate with our members and other stakeholders.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential
* Experience in an HR generalist or payroll role
* Understanding of Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit pensions schemes
* Ability to effectively communicate complex information and issues to non-specialists
* Ability to manage customer expectation

Desirable
* Appropriate pension's professional qualification
* Experience of pension scheme administrating and calculation
* Appreciation of pensions legislative requirements

Location: London, although this is a London based role it will move to Bedfordshire there candidates must bear this in mind when applying
