Description
Microbiologist required for a contract opportunity with a pharmaceutical company located in the South West UK. The Scientific officer with knowledge of microbiology the person will be responsible for performing Bioburdens, sterility tests and TVCs.Key Responsibilities:
. To carry out scientific and technical tasks within the Microbiology Quality Control Department in an effective and efficient manner.
. To perform routine laboratory procedures; may oversee work of others within the section.
. To prepare technical documentation within the department, as required.
. To train others, as required.
. To ensure that all personal lead times are complied with, subject to there being no attenuating circumstances.
. To carry out and manage projects in the department, as required.
. To develop and validate laboratory procedures within the department, as required.
. To review analytical and laboratory data within the department for accuracy, completeness and compliance with documented procedures.
. To communicate effectively with others on site and to participate with departmental and site wide problem solving as required.
. To carry out other tasks as required from time to time.
. Ensure cGMP is applied in their area of work and comply with cGMP in all areas of the business.
Qualifications/Experience:
. Degree in Applied Biology (with microbiology) or a closely related discipline/equivalent experience.
. Demonstrated experience in Pharmaceutical Microbiology.
. Ability to work to critical timelines.
. A proactive approach
. Effective communication skills at all internal levels.
