The Organizational Effectiveness Consultant position is a highly experienced, consultant-level role responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support whole systems thinking and organizational alignment. This position will have an emphasis on organization design. .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in management consultation to identify client needs. Provides consulting services and performs research, information gathering, analysis and documentation; applies appropriate methodology with no guidance and direction.
o Conduct benchmarking and external scan of similar organizations/environments
Designs and executed information gathering questions, conducts interviews, focus groups and organization design workshops
o Conduct Senior Executive level interviews
o Conduct a current state assessment of the organization (leveraging existing information as available)
o Design and conduct workshops with senior executives to drive decisions and alignment

Works with the business to develop and evaluate conceptual organizational models. .
Facilitates the activity scope definition of highly complex organizations
Leads the development of role profiles (inclusive of role definitions, skills and qualifications).
Redesign roles and responsibilities of officer level positions
Leads the determination of FTE requirements, organization charts and spans of control
SKILLS
Internal Consulting - Able to work independently or lead a consulting team to identify issues and develop resolution strategies.
General Consulting Analytical skills, problem solving, executive presence, business writing, storyboarding
Strategic Thinking - Demonstrated ability to prepare long-range plans, forecast needs and recognize risks.
Business Analysis - Capable to convert discrete data and basic business concepts into meaningful information that contributes to successful assignments completion.
Facilitation - Demonstrates facilitation skills including facilitating meetings, processes and operations without requiring support from others.
Change Management - Demonstrates working knowledge of the organization's change management process.
Organizational Design - Expertise in designing organizations, including developing: organizational conceptual models, functional unit design, role design, organizational structure design, staffing models, computing FTE requirements, migration planning.
Project Management- Able to plan and manage work of moderate complexity
Communication skills- Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
Interpersonal skills- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to build relationships and create organizational credibility
Leaderships skills (coaching, mentoring, skill development)
Ability to learn quickly and lead courageously
A successful track record of effectively solving business challenges;
Strong consultation, coaching and facilitation skills.
Adapts behavior to different people and situations, while recognizing and addressing personal and interpersonal sensitivities.

Legal industry experience
Insurance industry skills and experience
Requires 10+ years experience in a similar position

Strong organization design consulting and coaching, business acumen, change management, project management and facilitation skills.

Experience in organizational design, business transformation, change management, and project management.
Sound working knowledge of organization design theory and methods, organizational analysis and change skills.
