Description
Our large transportation client is looking for an Offshore Resource Planning Manager to be responsible for the effective planning and allocation of internal human resources. This is a contract position in Secaucus, NJ, reporting to the Project Management Office.
Responsibilities will include:
Planning and Facilitation Coordinate with Functional Managers to gather internal resource capacity forecasts. Coordinate with Service Managers Project Managers to gather projected resource demand and assist Functional Managers in verifying resource assignment based on availability and overall program priorities Pro-actively address resource projected under or over-utilization via coordinated leveling activities. This includes planning for the acquisition of resources to meet skill needs, negotiation of schedule adjustments, and defining strategies to manage resource surplus while maximizing productivity. Prioritize organization's resource gaps, assess gap impact on service delivery, establish gap closure milestones, and track to completion Status Reporting. Provide status report to executive management on resource planning related KPIs, risks, issues, and defined mitigation plans Tool Management Maintain Microsoft Excel based Capacity Management Tool, making required enhancements as necessary Take part in selection of longer-term resource management tool.
