KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead small to medium scale engineering programs. - Design and integrate aftertreatment systems for automotive, off-highway and industrial markets. - Act as the primary technical contact for aftertreatment system packaging and validation for new system integration. - Work directly with customers/partners to develop a workable exhaust system layout and to identify and resolve system-level issues. - Initiate and coordinate the technical support work (including mechanical design, FEA and CFD analyses, acoustical, flow and vibration testing, drafting, prototypes, etc.) required to develop system components against the technical profile deliverables. - Work closely with manufacturing personnel to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost reduction. - Maintain project schedules and manage assigned plant quality issues and value package change initiatives. - Travel Required: 10 - 25 % QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: - Project management skills. - Independent, motivated, customer-focused. - Excellent problem solving skills. - Solid communication skills, written and oral. - Ability to prioritize and multi-task. - Ability to work in cross functional team environment. - Good computer skills with MS Office applications. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - BS Mechanical Engineer or equivalent educational degree is required. - 0 to 3 years of experience as related to product development. - Experience with 2-D and 3-D CAD (Pro/Engineer preferred). - Basic knowledge of acoustics and vibration as related to exhaust systems is required. - Basic knowledge of exhaust aftertreatment (preferred). - Six Sigma knowledge/skills preferred
"Summary: Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. Typically has a high school diploma or GED. Possesses technical skills, including the knowledge of design techniques and blueprint reading.

Education/Experience
o Bachelor degree in engineering required
o 5-7 years experience required

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices
o Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects
o Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew
o Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software
