Candidate must have mobile management experience including cellular, wifi, and Bluetooth devices and Apple IOS, Google Android, Rim Blackberry OS, HP WebOS, Microsoft Windows Mobile/CE operating systems. A strong candidate has experience addressing rapidly changing mobility environments and is able to effectively translate business strategies into evolutionary technical designs.
A strong candidate will also be expected to maintain a strong technical understanding of device/OS functionality in numerous categories and integrate management and security into the foundation for rapidly changing vendor products.
Essential Job Functions:
Field project requests for mobile requirements and work with project teams to recommend fiscally responsible and forward thinking mobile solutions balancing device connectivity, security, management, durability, and functionality
Continuously maintain, and administer mobile device management and security infrastructure platforms
Maintain mobile device services including hardware certification, OS imaging, testing and certification, inventory, software distribution, and policy compliance
Work with Service Transition teams to build and operationalize support processes according to project plan and documented support flow
Consult with R&D team to provide tactical integration between enterprise mobile initiatives and future/ongoing R&D projects
Translate business parameters and objectives into functional requirements for a reference design
Clearly communicate and advocate proposed mobility management architectures
Analyze technology and industry market trends
Enforce governing principles related to device management platforms.
Ensure adherence to architecture standards and roadmaps
Ensure that post-production operational processes/deliverables are well designed and implemented prior to the project moving into the solution support phase
Minimum Position Qualifications:
1+ years of technical experience in supporting or engineering core Mobility Solutions for a medium to large enterprise.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or any other related discipline is required
General technical knowledge of mobile OS design and good understanding of testing methodology, automated processes, load/performance testing.
Demonstrated knowledge of mobility, collaboration and general desktop technologies.
General knowledge of Workstation OS security (Windows, Linux, Mac).
Experience with Workstation OS systems programming including Microsoft vbs and hta.
Desired Previous Job Experience: Experience with a mobility management system such as Blackberry BES, Motorola MSP, Sybase, AirWatch, Microsoft Active Sync, or Good Technologies a strong plus. A strong candidate will also have experience with Desktop Management, Security services, and systems programming/automation.
