Description
We have an opportunity for a consultant radiologist to join our client in Australia. The hospital is linked with the NHS and therefore you will be reporting emergency UK cases. They are looking for an experienced specialist GMC registered consultant radiologist that has recent experience working in the NHS.They require somebody who is able to do 4-5 CT or MRI's an hour or 20-25 plain films and must be able to switch between modalities.
The suitable candidate must be able to do CT (trauma and paeds) and plain film. It would be helpful if they could also do MRI.
As the successful candidate will be reporting on UK based patients they will not need medical registration in Australia and therefore the VISA process is much simpler.
The successful candidate will work with the team in UK and Oz prior to going out.

Our client will offer free accommodation for the first 2 weeks, but will facilitate a long term rental, plus 2 business class flights per year.
Salary- 175,000 per annum
start date - June / July 2012
Duration 12 months plus
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Consultant with previous experience in the NHS as it will enable them to have a full understanding of the work and the working environment prior to leaving the UK as they will do a number of paid reporting sessions in this company's UK office.
This coupled with the fact that they will be reporting NHS cases will make the transition to a new life in Australia all the easier.
